It is definitely more than a coincidence

Last night around 9pm suddenly Jaya Madam called me. I was pleasantly surprised to have a call from her at that time of the day. During the conversation she mentioned about Celestine Prophecy and mentioned that I could download it from the net. I couldn't resist the urge, so I turned on the computer while on the conversation... found the link and downloaded the same.
After the conversation I read a few pages and went to bed. This morning, first thing I did was read the book. About 40+ pages through... All along I have been contemplating on the things that happened to me in the past couple of months. I was quite convinced that whatever happened in the past two months was much more than coincidence. It had to do something with THE LAW OF ATTRACTION. When we are determined with a cause that is directed towards a bigger cause, energy levels in the world will merge so nicely that it will attract all necessary ingredients to fulfill that cause. In the midst of all these, I feel myself as merely an instrument in the things that are happening.
Another thing Jaya madam mentioned last night was EZ Vidya. This is something very close to what I am doing about these days with respect to education and learning. I already feel the hunch that EZ Vidya will be a  long standing connect / associate in my mission. I am yet to call them up and discuss things...
Jaya madam mentioned that.. she remembered about this book suddenly, which she had read earlier more than a decade ago. I wonder why she should remember this now? why she should think of me when reading it and wanted to share it with me? while on the conversation why should she mention about EZ Vidya? All this is something much more than a coincidence. I feel this is the universe way of attracting necessary resources to ensure that the mission "ANKUR" succeeds and makes a positive difference in the lives of lakhs of children in the years ahead.
After Many Lives Many Masters... Celestial Prophecy further enhances my belief in HIM and HIS Energy or UNIVERSAL ENERGY... This belief makes it easier for me to let go off the sense to control everything around me. To be free of worrying... but simply acting for a goal and let HIM the UNIVERSAL ENERGY decide on the result that has to ensue... hey... Isn't this what is prophesied by GITA... ??? !!!!

The Year That Was 2011

Stepped into 2012 with Namasankeerthan at Satyananda Yoga Centre in Triplicane (Where I am pursuing my Yoga Course...)

Having enjoyed the year 2010 review process... am trying to recollect The Journey 2011...

It had been A Great Year... An Year when more long term wishes and dreams have started taking shape... An Year of learning about life... about people... about its challenges... about its hidden blessings... about living in the present...

I strongly believe that the Yoga "Saadhana" Course had played a key role in this process. It was a real transformational experience. The course will come to a close may be by Feb 2012... This course provided me with an opportunity to get the blessings of three enlightened souls in this year... Maharishi Paranjothiaar, Swami Niranjan & Swami Satsangi. Made some new friends and am very proud of them. See a Great Guru in Jayagopalji, who literally connects with all his students at a very personal level and help them in such a way that each student feels that he/she is his favourite student. He smiles away saying all students are equal. A real down to earth practical, spiritual guru...

After months (/years?) of dilly dallying... finally, I had taken Mantropadesam from Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji in the month of September... The spiritual journey begins thus... With a more active participation in Jeeyar Educational Trust activities at Chennai - especially in Saadhana, participation in social activities has improved...

In the beginning of 2011, I signed up for a PGDM program with AIMA and now succesfully completed two semesters. Made some new friends. Had a couple of great and silent achievers in life as my gurus. More than the subject, what I admired and learnt from them is their simplicity and down to earth approach. However, with changes in the course towards goals and new learnings, planning to discontinue the program... at least for now. Had a farewell Lunch with AIMA friends on 29th Dec after giving the last exam for the semester. Had a great time at AIMA...

On education front some other activities...

Signed up for e-course on BhagavadGita with Chinmaya International Foundation on GuruPurnima day... The REAL TEACHER's DAY... Learning the essence of teachings from our scriptures is more than mandatory to lead a peaceful life in the modern world... Enjoying this course to the brim...

Also signed up for an e-course on Artha Shastra. It is not up to the standard I had exxpected, however enjoying learning new things what the Great Kautilya preached about 25 centuries ago and those still being relevant today... the real universal education, by the great Kautilya... Pleasantly Surprised to learn this...

Also enrolled for a PhD program with National School of Leadership, Pune. This education is to take me closer to realizing my mission in Life to make a positive change in the lives of people through the field of Education.

Some books that I read and had greatly influenced me this year... Many Masters Many Lives, Connect the Dots, The Secret, Jaya (about Mahabharatha), The Whole Movement of Life is Learning, Successful Entrepreneur.

My association with Sadhana - Yoga course also introduced me to another training program - Breathing manager that perfectly blends the simple and profound yogic concepts with regular corporate/other training programs, to give a refreshingly new outlook and approach towards Yoga and Life. My Yoga Guru Jayagopalji and an established corporate trainer Mr.Murali had excellently co-created this program. This program being very close in approach towards my outlook on what education should be like... especially at the school level... it had opened the doors wide open and is giving a direction towards this mission in life...

The experiences in moving with policemen, advocates, courts, politicians et al., in handling the Land Grabbing issue... this is an unique way life presents us with its teachings... had had a great effect in my views about people in different professions and gave me a closer look at various starring realities of life - of myself and of many others whom I had got to meet at these places... those places which I had hardly visited in real life... those kind of people which life had always kept me away from...

Among the most significant ways other people in my life had influenced me this year stands... Jaya Madam's retirement and her decision, spirit and outlook towards retired life... She had been always a constant source of inspiration and influence in my life since the days when I first came in touch with her... Thanks to The Journey, ECHO and my cousin Rajanna... Love You Maa...

This year ECHO... our in-house magazine which I had been co-editing for past several years... had reached a new level of recognition. Several Echo readers gave rave reviews and there were requests from people specially requesting for inclusion for their names in the mailing list and also to send them old issues. It is definitely a matter of pride for any creative worker... This also had raised the pedestal and it will be more challenging and interesting to make each future edition better than its previous one... Really looking forward to this journey... and believe this will bring me closer to publishing my own FIRST & SUCCESSFUL BOOK.

On home front... the annual visit to Tirumala, Outing with family to Vizag & Araku ( A long pending destination from my college days... when my cousin Narayana Bava was working at the steel plant), trip to Hyderabad for Tanmayee's Function and annual family get-together (where Jayagopalji was the chief guest this year)... will stand out among many wonderful moments and outings I had this year.

So this year is unique in the sense that it had sown the seeds for growth in different direction... in four dimensions in my life - spiritual, education, social and career - and as they grow, I see a unique blending in 2012 of all the four in turning my passion into profession and help me reach new heights in all the four planes...

And... whatever that had happened in 2011 or am expecting to happen in 2012 was / will be possible only with the blessings of my parents, support of Rachitha and smiles on the faces of Harshith & Jahnavi...

Thank YOU 2011... and LOOKING FORWARD EAGERLY TO THE JOURNEY 2012...

Many Lives Many Masters - Bhagavad Gita & Yoga... Are they same...

This is one of those rare books that I have read almost continuously... It was so involving. Written by the world famous professor of psychology Dr.Brian L Weiss, I had heard and read about this book earlier several times...
This book narrates the experiences of Dr Weiss and his patient Catherine during the treatment for some problems Catherine was facing. When traditional consultancy and treatments were not giving the required results, they get into hypnotic regression sessions and this book is completely about these sessions and learnings from these sessions.
Being widely referred to, I believe that this is not a fiction and narration of actual facts and experiences...
What made it so involving for me is, the learnings or messages from the Masters are not just similar... They are exactly the same as what Lord Krishna advises to Arjuna in Gita. It talks about the concept of Karma, Many lives, eternity of the soul with neither birth nor death, rebirth to repay the debts of earlier lives, etc.,
In fact it goes to so much in detail that it mentions not just about Karma, but the attitude towards duties and performing actions, attachment and vasana formation and its effects in cycle of births and deaths. The author even goes to the extent of stating that if we perform actions with detachment, all the debts (read vasanas) are fulfilled, we shall move towards higher planes and can end this cycle of births and deaths. (Message of Gita in in chapters 2 & 3).
Also interestingly... the techniques employed in hypnotic regression is similar (just the same?) to Yoga Nidra described in Yogic texts. After Bahiranga Sadhana (external practices) when we move to Antaranga Sadhana (Internal Practices) we move our mind from outside to inside, and watch ourselves and our actions with a sense of detachment and eliminate our fears, hallucinations(?), etc., thus leading us to a more peaceful and happy state of mind. The same technique is used by this doctor to cure his patient from anxiety and other psychotic experiences.
I started wondering... Are the experiences mentioned in this book real or has the author read about Yoga, Meditation and Gita and built a story around those messages to reach the messages to a wider audience... But the author also refers similar, if not in such detail, experiences of other experts in the field. And as already mentioned the book is highly referred to in the field of human relations and psychology...
So if the experiences are true... is this a scientific proof to the modern world about the messages conveyed through Gita and Yogic scriptures by our rishis. Just wondering ??? !!!!!!!
